In this article from the 13th, it states that the president and the democratic party so far have raised 240 million dollars for the obama campaign next year. This is equivelant to that of former president Bush's in his reelection campain in'04. This number is crucial for Obama because some say he is going to need every penny he can get especially if running against Romney. Because Romney himself already has 56 million on his own without the republicans. The democrats however are on track so far as they have a plan on how to use the money right from the start. They want to control how the campaigning goes for their own advantage giving them the best shot to win. This could change voters' minds because it may cause the republicans to join together and start supporting one candidate who they all beleive has the best shot at beating president Obama even if it may not be their choice they feel at heart. This has showed me that the democrats are well prepared for a tough race and accept the fact that it may not be easy, but won't accept losing.

In this article from 1/13th, the author discusses how Romney has been responding to accusations from other SC frontrunners like Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich's accusations of how he and his firm Bain Capital are not for the people but for the profits. They accuse him of cutting thousands of jobs in many businesses the firm had control of not to help the companies but to gain more self profit. Romney saw that he had to stick up for himself and defended that Bain Cpital had also done things for companies creationg over 100,000 jobs for people. He said that the things he was forced to do were to keep certain businesses from failing completely. These accusations from his competitors could have a great impact on voters in SC because many of them could be people who lost those jobs and bitter feelings can lead to votes for Gingrich and Paul instead. It has taught me that Romney has had much power not just in politics for the republican party but also in national financial businesses as well.

NH to Nevada

The author of this article is focusing on the similarities between New Hampshire and Nevada. Although they differ greatly in geographical location and and size, the two states as described in the article have some political similarities in them. It is being said that the results of tuesday's caucus in NH could have a great impact of the Nevada one to come. It is forshadowing an echo, or a same decision amongst the two. Polls have been projected so far with numbers for Romney at about 43% in NH and about 35% in Nevada projected. If what this author is saying is true, people in Nevada are paying very close attention on Tuesday as this may very well make their mind up for them. Which ROmney may be hoping for and other oponents hoping is untrue.

The author of this article makes an effort in my opinion to show the Mitt Romney is aiming at the wrong person right now. Romney is aiming his attacks at President Obama while his opponents such as John Huntzman, Rick Santorum, and Newt Gingrich are all aiming at him. They accuse him of hiding behind negative campaigning but he will not last. However Romney has gained the support of the last republican candidate for president John Mccain. While continuing to take heat from others, the former MA gov accused the souls of American people down in the jobs market. This article really makes me and problalbly some others question if Romney is really planning smartly on who he should be worried about right now.

For example, when he went to speak at a college about his anti gay rights opinions, he was booed by 600 students. When he said he was a jesus candidate it really drew some negative attetnion. Some projections only put him with an 8% vote in NH right now heading into tuesday which could mean trouble. This could result in the loss of voters if they begin to doubt his ability to pull out some more wins in the future.

blog 8, Romney Takes Heat Again
In a January 8th article in USA Today, it spoke of the recent debate over the weekend that took place in NH. As the NH primary approaches and Romney remains the favorite, his top competitiors have seemed to go on the attack at him. Gingrich and Santorum accuse him of backing out of races for re-election because he didnt do as well of a job in MA is he says, Gingrich jaws at him by saying how he has been running for the presidential nomnation since the late 90's. Romney is going to face a tough offense in the last days before the NH caucus because once again he is on top. This will show his true colors and his abiity to outlast adversity. The author does seem to favor his resilience because he held his own in the debate even though he recieved all of this criticism.

post 7, Bachmann vows to continue to SC
In this video posted to CNN on 1/2/12, Michelle Bachman is being interviewed and to an extent trying to be steered into a corner. The interviewer makes the point that Bachmann and the other conservatives are watering down their own vote. They are taking votes away from one another which is dividing conservative support and leaving all of the rest for Mit Romney with an easy win. However, Bachmann denies all of this and states that she still has the opportunity to win and that she is going to keep on fighting and she feels confident going into SC and NH from Iowa. This video showed me why Santorum and Romney have been able to gain much more support in the past week or two, it also could effect the polls because people who view this video may either become confused about which conservative to vote for or whether it is worth voting for one of them anymore in the first place since it is being watered by the rest of them.
