The author of this article decided not to focus on the candidates that were remaining, but in fact one of those that dropped out recently. Rick Perry. The author reflects on how many felt before/during/after he was in and dropped out. He showed how at first when he announced that he would run people had high confidence in him. But as time went on, people expressed their concern because he was clearly unprepared to run and it showed in the debates against the others. In terms of how his dropout would affect the race, the author seems to agree/think that his support for Gingrich will give Gingrich a bonus, but doesnt seem to think it will mean much because he expects president Obama to win the real election, as many do.

The author in this article is talking of the growing confience of Newt Gingrich as he seemed to be surging in votes just before the SC primary. He mentions quotes of his saying that if he won SC he would win nomination. Comments on how he says he can be a great leader. The author also includes remarks about how other smaller candidates such as Senator Santorum or Gov Rick Perrywere having a battle of their own that would divide up the votes. Faults in Mitt Romney were pointed out about his taxes and how hes is attacking Gingrich in acts of desperation to show his slipping lead in SC. These comments and events pointed out could have gained some posible voters for the Gingrich crowd because it showed the disarray of the author candidates and the confident, posotive facotrs in Newt.

In this article, the author is making it a point to show nobody was quite sure who was going to win South Carolina. He mentions different issues people will be focusing on that will either posotively or negatively affect the candidates including the economy, religion, view on the war, etc. The author doesnt come out front and say it but he seems to think people were going in with a negative view on Romney because of his taxes and because of his mormon religion. He also thought Ron Paul had strong support with his views on war. He seemed to favor Gingrich for SC victory. People who read this article before voting very could have had their minds changed from one way to another or could have been made even more confused on who to vote for then they already were perhaps.

In this article from the Philadelphia Inquire, the author discusses how in the closing days towards the South Carolina contest, Newt Gingrich and his fellow compeitors were scrambling around all over trying to win over last minute voters. The author emphasizes how important it was for Gingrich to win south carolina and how disappointing a loss could be for Mitt Romney. The author sets it up to show that he feels Gingrich will win. An example of this is telling how Rick Perry's support could boost him and by showing Romney's low expectations for the state to bein with. This aerticle could draw some of the possible Romney votes to Gingrich's side for south carolina and perhaps future states as well.

This video from CNN breaks the voting from South Carolina down into who as voting for who in terms of economic status and salary. According to the viedo Newt Gingrich is more popular amongst voters who are in the middle range of people economically. Citizens who make between fifty and one hundred thousand dollars per year represented a high population of the voters and about 40% of them voted for Newt. Compared to those who make more than 200,000 a year (which is only 6% of South Carolina's population, almost 50% of them voted for Mitt Romney. The man showing these charts in the video makes it evident that most people that are just getting along or are struggling seemed to vote for Newt over Romney even though Romney is the candidate with the most experience in economics and claims that as his strongest suit. He also points out that most of the wealthy support Romney which could cause viewers that see this favor Gingrich in the future because of their economic status even if they may not know the candidate's views.

Newt sucks-up
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2012/01/21/sot-gingrich-south-carolina.cnn
This video featuring Newt Gingrich's victory speech in South Carolina. In this portion of his speech showed, he spends time complimenting his rivals for different achievements, knowledge of topics, or good ideas they've proposed. He went on to say that he agreed with them of some of them, while also speaking of which how he disagreed on others. But in my opinion Newt goes out of his way to say good things about each of them. To me this seems like he is doing so to appear as a nice guy and may gain some voters from looking this way while possibly delaying some negative campaigning against him by the other candidates. By trying to show some viewers that he has another side of him that is open to other thoughts then his own, he could steal some votes from his opponents and could very easilly swing the future polls his way and steal a state or two that was unexpected. It is little things like this that could potentially determine who is going to be running in November.

But then it goes and shows how they are all anything but commin when it comes to econmoics. The prices of their homes are revealled and most were valued between 3 and 10 million dollar homes, some of them owning more than one even. This video could anger many voters not more twoards one candidate or another but to all of them as a whole. It reveals that however much they claim to be like us, they aren't. They don't have to worry about paying bills, etc. Therefore this may have an effect on how they attempt to work the nations economy. It may also chane some voters minds about who they will vote for because the candidate may come off to some as a fraud afer watching this.

In this article from the 13th, it states that the president and the democratic party so far have raised 240 million dollars for the obama campaign next year. This is equivelant to that of former president Bush's in his reelection campain in'04. This number is crucial for Obama because some say he is going to need every penny he can get especially if running against Romney. Because Romney himself already has 56 million on his own without the republicans. The democrats however are on track so far as they have a plan on how to use the money right from the start. They want to control how the campaigning goes for their own advantage giving them the best shot to win. This could change voters' minds because it may cause the republicans to join together and start supporting one candidate who they all beleive has the best shot at beating president Obama even if it may not be their choice they feel at heart. This has showed me that the democrats are well prepared for a tough race and accept the fact that it may not be easy, but won't accept losing.

In this article from 1/13th, the author discusses how Romney has been responding to accusations from other SC frontrunners like Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich's accusations of how he and his firm Bain Capital are not for the people but for the profits. They accuse him of cutting thousands of jobs in many businesses the firm had control of not to help the companies but to gain more self profit. Romney saw that he had to stick up for himself and defended that Bain Cpital had also done things for companies creationg over 100,000 jobs for people. He said that the things he was forced to do were to keep certain businesses from failing completely. These accusations from his competitors could have a great impact on voters in SC because many of them could be people who lost those jobs and bitter feelings can lead to votes for Gingrich and Paul instead. It has taught me that Romney has had much power not just in politics for the republican party but also in national financial businesses as well.

The author of this article is focusing on the similarities between New Hampshire and Nevada. Although they differ greatly in geographical location and and size, the two states as described in the article have some political similarities in them. It is being said that the results of tuesday's caucus in NH could have a great impact of the Nevada one to come. It is forshadowing an echo, or a same decision amongst the two. Polls have been projected so far with numbers for Romney at about 43% in NH and about 35% in Nevada projected. If what this author is saying is true, people in Nevada are paying very close attention on Tuesday as this may very well make their mind up for them. Which ROmney may be hoping for and other oponents hoping is untrue.

The author of this article makes an effort in my opinion to show the Mitt Romney is aiming at the wrong person right now. Romney is aiming his attacks at President Obama while his opponents such as John Huntzman, Rick Santorum, and Newt Gingrich are all aiming at him. They accuse him of hiding behind negative campaigning but he will not last. However Romney has gained the support of the last republican candidate for president John Mccain. While continuing to take heat from others, the former MA gov accused the souls of American people down in the jobs market. This article really makes me and problalbly some others question if Romney is really planning smartly on who he should be worried about right now.

In this article from January 7th, it adresses how Rick Santorum is not doing as well as he did in Iowa and is starting to realize that he cant say the same stuff he did there and get the same results. For example, when he went to speak at a college about his anti gay rights opinions, he was booed by 600 students. When he said he was a jesus candidate it really drew some negative attetnion. Some projections only put him with an 8% vote in NH right now heading into tuesday which could mean trouble. This could result in the loss of voters if they begin to doubt his ability to pull out some more wins in the future.

blog 8, Romney Takes Heat Again
In a January 8th article in USA Today, it spoke of the recent debate over the weekend that took place in NH. As the NH primary approaches and Romney remains the favorite, his top competitiors have seemed to go on the attack at him. Gingrich and Santorum accuse him of backing out of races for re-election because he didnt do as well of a job in MA is he says, Gingrich jaws at him by saying how he has been running for the presidential nomnation since the late 90's. Romney is going to face a tough offense in the last days before the NH caucus because once again he is on top. This will show his true colors and his abiity to outlast adversity. The author does seem to favor his resilience because he held his own in the debate even though he recieved all of this criticism.

post 7, Bachmann vows to continue to SC
In this video posted to CNN on 1/2/12, Michelle Bachman is being interviewed and to an extent trying to be steered into a corner. The interviewer makes the point that Bachmann and the other conservatives are watering down their own vote. They are taking votes away from one another which is dividing conservative support and leaving all of the rest for Mit Romney with an easy win. However, Bachmann denies all of this and states that she still has the opportunity to win and that she is going to keep on fighting and she feels confident going into SC and NH from Iowa. This video showed me why Santorum and Romney have been able to gain much more support in the past week or two, it also could effect the polls because people who view this video may either become confused about which conservative to vote for or whether it is worth voting for one of them anymore in the first place since it is being watered by the rest of them.

blog 6, Gingrich calls Romney a Liar
In this video on CNN posted on 1/3/12, CNN interviewers adress how Newt Gingrich is responding to the recent negative campaigning against him. He focuses on Mit Romney calling him a liar. He accuses him of using his millionare friends to run his campaign even when they claim to be non connected teams just supporting Romney. Newt was at one point a week or two ago, was in the lead for the upcoming Iowa caucus which is what started everyones negative campaigning against him. The creators of this video seem to show a down side to Newt in how he almost seems childish and bitter just because everyone is against him and he is losing his support. WHat this video could do is point out to even more people that other camppaigners are all going against Gingrich pointing out his negatives and so far he doesn't seem to react well to criticism. This may cause a loss of even more supporters for him.
